Sunday, September 27 is last swim day for 2015

      Hello Swim Friends…

Sunday, September 27th will be our last swimming day of 2015.  The heating bill has caught up with us :-)

If you plan on coming back next year, you may keep your key and exchange it next year for a new one.

If you think you will loose your key, or are moving away, please feel free to bring the key back.  You may leave it in an envelope, with your name on it, with my kids if I am not home (Then they don’t have to remember who brought the key back).

Also, as an added bonus, you can come help close up the pool on October 10th.  Come at 9 AM.  We need green waste cleaned, weeds pulled (so we don’t have to pull them next year), pool covered…. lots of stuff.  Please send over a representative from your house.  The more we have the faster it goes.

Watch for an e-mail around Feb/March to tell you when we meet in April for our next annual member meeting.

Pool Potluck - Friday, September 11, 6pm

Dear North View Swim Club Members.

The pool will be open through Labor Day.  We will keep the pool open during the day time as long as it is warm enough.  We will let you know when we are closing for swimming.  Please watch the blog or your e-mail for further notice.

Final Pool Potluck  Friday September 11.  Come at 6:00 Potluck Dinner!.  Come early and pull some weeds.

Final Pool Clean up and closure is October 10.  Keep the morning open to come and help.

End of July Notes

Hello Northview Club Members

1) We are having life guard issues… don’t send the kids unless you can see the lifeguard there that day.   If you know of any lifeguards hanging around with nothing to do, contact Kellie Jenkins with their name and we will look into hiring them.

2) Lap swimmers can swim in peace during these times:  8:00-8:30, 12:00-1:00, 5:30-6:30.   No other swimmers allowed during these hours,  and lappers, if you go past 8:30 you may have company joining you in the pool.

Hours:

6:30-8:00       Quiet Swim

8:00-8:30       Lap Swim

8:30-12:00    Open Family Swim

12:00-1:00    Lap Swim

1:00-5:30       Guarded Swim

5:30-6:30       Lap Swim

6:30-10:00    Open Family Swim

3) Check the chalkboard for possible water aerobic classes, triathlon training. E-mail back if you are interested or contact the name listed.

4) Have you seen the weeds?  Start pulling them out!  And on August 15^th, 8-11 let’s all meet together to pull the weeds, trim and spruce up the place.

5) We have 62 members!!!  Five more to reach our goal of 67.

Change in time lifeguard leaves in the afternoon

Hello Northview swimmers.

For the week of June 15-June 19, the guarded swim will only go until 4:50 PM.  There will be NO lifeguard from 4:50-5:30.

For the week of June 22 until further notice, on MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS the lifeguard will leave at 4:50 PM.  Please make arrangements to watch your under 18 swimmers.

If you are interested in swim lessons, please contact our lifeguards.

And a HUGE THANK YOU to Steve for fixing our shower faucets.  No more leaks!!!!  However - the faucets must both turn inward to turn off.  (which means you turn them outward to turn on). (The left hand turns clockwise while the right hand turns counter clockwise - we didn’t do it, we are just reporting how we found it).   We have several kids (& teens) that can’t figure this out and leave the shower on.  Please check before you leave and don’t let our water bill go up.

Northview News - June 8, 2015

Dear Northview Swim Club Members,

Summer is on it’s way. With 55 of you now having paid, I am including in this e-mail our by-laws.  Please look it over and read it.  You are responsible for knowing the rules of the pool.  Having said that, here are a few highlights….

1) Closing time is 10:00 every night. (See section A)

2) Guest limit is 5 and must be accompanied by the member. (See section D)

3) Party reservations are done through Tessa (See section E).  Her contact is: mightytessa@yahoo.com

4) It is not too late to pay dues… The Pool Party Potluck (see below) is our last date before the $10 late fee applies.  

 

Because we have so many new members, I am including the “bringing guests rule".

D. USE OF FACILITIES BY NON-MEMBERS

1.  A guest may use the pool in the company of a member in good standing.  The member is fully responsible for the conduct of the guests.

2.  An adult member may escort up to 5 guests at any one time.  Members under 18 may not bring more than 2 guests to the pool.  A family may not exceed the limit of 5 guests at any time.

3.  A house guest may use the pool just as any other member of the family would.

 

The Pool Potluck is THIS Saturday, June 13th at 5:00.
